Nordic Wolf Tripod Seat Canvas

The tripod seat from Nordic Wolf is a canvas piece that you build into a camp stool using three branches found on site and some paracord. I bring it on bushcraft trips when I plan to spend time at a campfire or cook a meal and want to sit properly.

Material and Setup

The canvas is well-sewn and holds up to regular use. The actual structure comes from you: finding three straight branches in the woods is easy, and paracord 550 is something most bushcrafters carry anyway. The canvas itself fits in a jacket pocket and barely registers on the scale.

I set this up whenever I am cooking at a campfire and want to sit at a reasonable height rather than crouching on the ground. Setup takes a few minutes. Nordic Wolf also makes leather versions with a finished frame, more refined, but heavier and not packable in the same way. If weight and pack size matter, the leather version stays at home.
